Support for Schools

Congleton Multi-Academy Trust (Cmat) can provide high quality support to schools, groups of schools and local authorities to meet specific needs and to ensure the best possible outcomes for all students.

With wide ranging experience in both the primary and secondary sectors, the support we are able to provide is based upon existing highly effective best practice in key areas, which have driven and sustained improvement at Congleton High School (CHS) and other Cmat member schools.  CHS has made rapid progress; its results at GCSE now place it in the top 21% nationally and its inclusive and welcoming ethos ensures that all students and staff feel highly valued.

David Hermitt, executive principal of CHS and CEO of Cmat is designated as a Local Leader of Education (LLE).  LLEs are successful headteachers who work alongside other heads to drive forward improvements and build capacity to ensure that improvements can be sustained.  His remit in this role is to challenge and support other headteachers.

Cmat will work with you, targeting support carefully to ensure that your specific needs are met.  We can help you make and sustain improvement by embedding effective best practice.
