Options Evening Helps Cmat Students Plan for the Future

Year 9 is a crucial time for all students, it is the year when they choose which subjects they will study from Year 10 at GCSE and BTEC. For some, these choices are quick and easy to make, whilst for others who haven't yet decided on a career path, they can be much harder. Cmat secondary school, Congleton High holds an annual Options Evening, which aims to help students understand more about the process of selecting their Options and also find out more information about the subjects they could study.

The January 2018 Options Evening was well attended by both students and parents, all keen to find out more and help make the choices simpler and easier. A presentation explaining how the process works and giving some key advice was followed by the opportunity to visit the various curriculum areas to see the sort of work students undertake on each course and also to talk with the teaching teams.

Anyone who was unable to attend, or would like to view the presentation again, can find this, along with the Options Booklet, the Options Request Form and information about all of the subjects on the Curriculum page of our website. Click here for more details.
